Kushiro Shitsugen National Park (Hokkaido)

The Japanese crane (Tancho) is considered the most majestic bird in Japan because of its elegant style. The Tancho is black and white colored and is a symbol of longevity and auspiciousness. The Kushiro marsh, in the Kushiro Shitsugen National Park, is home to these endangered birds. The park is also known for it numinous view of the Kushiro liver and moor. The park is about a 30-minute drive from Kushiro City.
