Daisetsuzan National Park (Hokkaido)
Attractions: Mt. Asahidake, the highest mountain in Hokkaido
The Daisetsuzan National Park is the largest national park in Japan and is situated in the middle of Hokkaido. The park has a range of mountains including Mt. Tomaraushi (7000 ft), Mt. Tokachi (6,815 ft ) and Mt. Ishikari (6437 ft) and Hokkaido's highest mountain, Mt. Asahidake (7,513ft/ 2,290m).
The Daisetsu Highway links Asahikawa, Daisetsuzan National Park and the Akan National Park.
